Advantages: Very thorough study material and practice exercises for each section; Self-Assessment Test to identify weaknesses, Sample Tests with answer sheets, answer key, and solutions; new improved, updated guide created in 2012.

Disadvantages: Older versions are not up to date with the test, so only get the version created in 2012; need time to go through all the material.

Advantages: Created by State of CA government offices, so it is likely that the questions are similar to those on the test; Has one complete practice test with answer key and solutions, Some test strategy information.

Disadvantages: Poor format in preparation/assessment section — sample questions on the left and answers and solutions on the right side of each page. This makes it difficult to answer questions without seeing the answers. Very little info for study outside of the solution information provided for the sample test questions.
