When Are the Oscars ?
In case you are wondering “When are the Oscars 2012?” — The Oscars are being held in Hollywood this Sunday, February 26, 2012.
The Hollywood area is bustling with excitement as it sets up for this prestigious ceremony to honor the best actors, directors, movies, and all involved in the production of these same films. Not only that, the Hollywood area is setting up for all the parties that occur before, during, and after the event.
I do love watching the Oscars. But I’ve had the honor of being caught up in the Oscars’ traffic in Hollywood. I sat in traffic in Hollywood for hours due to an unfortunate choice I made during the weekend of The Oscars. I’ll be staying far from Hollywood this weekend, especially this Sunday.
If you live in the Los Angeles area and are not involved in the festivities related to the Academy Awards nor planning to try to catch a glimpse of the stars, then you probably want to figure out how to avoid the event and all the traffic associated with it.
That means you need to figure out what streets will be blocked off and what areas to avoid and when so you won’t be a victim of the terrible traffic bottlenecks related to the event.
But you also want to be sure to tune in to watch this event!
So exactly “When Are the Oscars 2012?” (What time and channel? And when is the actual event being held, etc.?)
The Oscars, also known as The Academy Awards, are being held this Sunday, February 26, 2012 at the Kodak Theatre. The Kodak Theatre, home to The Oscars since 2002, is located at the Hollywood Highland Center, 6801 Hollywood Blvd., Hollywood, CA.
This is truly the event of the year when it comes to the Entertainment Industry. And the Oscars (a.k.a. the Academy Awards) is the place to be if you are anyone in the world of entertainment.
This year’s event is being hosted by Billy Crystal for the ninth time. It is an event you don’t want to miss.
The Oscars (Academy Awards) are being broadcast by ABC at 5:30 PST/8:30 EST. Coverage of the Red Carpet starts at 4:00 PST/7:00 EST. There will be additional coverage on ABC of everything associated with the Oscars going on for most of the day if you are interested.
As far as the effects on the traffic in the Hollywood area is concerned, you can check out the article below that provides information on the topic of street closures.
I’ve included links below to a couple of other articles related to the Oscars that I thought you might also like to check out.

I’ve searched for the Oscar’s result specially the most awaiting fashion statement of the stars. It’s stunning! Worst dress was J-Lo for me.

I watched the Oscars last month and it was a successful. From the red carpet, there are stunning wardrobes. From Angelina Jolie’s trademark pose to Sacha Baron Cohen spilled ashes to Ryan Seacrest. Then there’s the best actor and actress. It was a great and memorable Academy Awards.

Hi Christopher,
I guess the Oscars got some mixed reviews about how it was (some called it boring), but it is still always fun to see all the beautiful gowns and see who wins the awards. Thanks for reading and commenting! –Debbie
