It looks like the Screen Actors Guild (SAG) is getting ready to vote on whether they support a SAG strike. This has been on the minds of SAG members and the parents of children in SAG, for some time now. It has also been on the minds of the entertainment industry in general.
The writer’s strike was not that long ago. Things came pretty much to a halt here in L.A. for the entertainment industry. Many people were out of work and had trouble making ends meet. It seems like the studios made a number of changes about that same time, too.
What will a SAG strike mean right now for the entertainment industry? In these hard economic times, it seems like it might not be a good thing.
As the parent of a child in SAG, I am interested in getting the best payments for my child, but on the other hand, do I really want the entertainment industry to take another hit?
